- Children are enrolled in the first grade in the school from the age specified by the law and according to the rule established by the law;
- In order to enroll a child in school, the parent/legal representative must submit the following documents within the deadlines set by the law:
statement on the name of the school director;
two photographs of the student (3X4);
Notarized copy of birth certificate;
a document issued by the civil registry agency or its territorial service, which confirms the assignment of a personal number to a student with Georgian citizenship, a residence permit in Georgia, or a residence certificate;
Copies of parents’ identity cards;
When a student is enrolled in a school, the student’s personal file is opened.
In accordance with the relevant legal act of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, in case of mobility of the student from another educational institution, the following documentation is presented:
- a) statement on the name of the school director;
- b) student’s personal file;
- c) current assessment;
- e) report on missed hours according to subjects;
- f) a copy of the order on expulsion from the educational institution;
- g) Notarized copy of birth certificate;
- h) a document issued by the civil registry agency or its territorial service confirming the assignment of a personal number to a student with Georgian citizenship, a residence permit in Georgia, or a residence certificate;
- i) copies of parents’ identity cards;
- k) In case of transfer of a student from the Ministry of Education, a relevant health certificate is required.
Student withdrawal from class to class is done on the basis of individual legal act of the director, according to the rules established by the legislation of Georgia.
It is allowed to transfer the student to a parallel class. This issue is decided by the director based on the parent’s application.
